Welcome to my blog! I hope you take some time to look around and see all the amazing clients I have had the chance to photograph. I love meeting new clients and learning their story and seeing my repeat clients grow and change. To me, a photographer is the best job in the world. My blog is a place where I am able to keep a log of my most up to date photos and happenings and sometimes, I have some pretty awesome giveaways and deals.
I always knew I was artistic but struggled how to express myself that way. I had quit my job after the birth of my first son and at first I was totally content being a mom and keeping house. It was around the time of my second child that I became very restless. I starting sewing, decorating, card making, baking and nothing was filling this hole I felt. I got a camera and it became my obsession. This was my true creative calling.
Photography has always played a role somehow in my life. I have always been lucky enough to have a camera available during my life and snapping pictures of the most random things. I remember being very young and seeing photos and remembering the time that was captured in photographs I would look at. My Uncle has been a photographer since I can remember and he has been in National Geographic and other publications. He is able to take such amazing wildlife photos and even before I knew I wanted to be a photographer as well, I remember just staring at his images and thinking “this is amazing art!”
My story is the classic, almost cliche story of getting serious about photography. I bought a DSLR after my first son was born and starting taking pictures all the time. In the meantime, I would look at peoples pictures and think “I want to be able to photos like that of my own children”. In 2008 I upgraded my camera to a Canon 40D and began the journey. Let me tell ya, I was not a quick learner when it came to shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc. To be honest, I felt like maybe this wasn’t for me. With the support of my hubby, I buckled down and learned everything I could. I was officially addicted! The next year I upgraded cameras again and am loving my art.
